Overview
Michael Bumgarner, CPA, CLM, CGMA, serves as our Chief Executive Officer. Mike oversees the administrative management of our offices and is responsible for the firm’s overall administration, including accounting and finance, operations, information technology, human resources, and facilities management.
Mike earned his Bachelor’s in Accounting at West Virginia University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mike currently serves as a board member for HospiceCare of West Virginia and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mike became the first person in West Virginia to obtain the Certified Legal Manager certification. Since then, he has become deeply involved with the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and has benefited significantly from the volunteer experience and peer relationships. Mike held various leadership positions in ALA, including serving on the Certification Committee, the Region 3 Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors, where he served as Chair of the Finance Committee and Compliance Officer. Additionally, Mike was the first independent member selected as ALA’s President and served in that role from May 2021 through May 2022.
