Overview

For over 26 years, Bob James has litigated cases defending businesses and professionals, serving the healthcare and oil and gas industries, and governmental/political subdivisions. He has tried cases ranging from medical malpractice to employment law.

Over the last decade, Bob has used his litigation experience to provide clients with corporate advice and services. He has advised clients on employment and HR situations. In addition, Bob has helped with corporate governance, from Articles of Incorporation to bylaws to Board Resolutions. 

“I work hard for my clients and strive to think outside the box to find solutions to complex situations.”  He has represented a diversified client base that includes professionals, family-owned businesses, exceptional non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies.

Bob also defends professionals under their Errors and Omissions (E&O) coverage, including insurance agents, brokers, realtors, appraisers, physicians, and others. In addition, he defends businesses against deliberate intent actions, accidents caused by employees, Title VII matters, and more.

Bob is licensed to practice in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, and he regularly represents clients before administrative bodies, state courts, and federal courts.

Outside of the courtroom, Bob serves on the Board of Boy Scouts for the Ohio River Valley Council.  He received the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award for demonstrating remarkable achievement well beyond Scouting endeavors and for his extensive community service.  He is a past president of the Wheeling, WV, Rotary Club and serves on the boards of several community organizations.
