Defense Verdict Obtained in Jefferson County
Sam Fox and Alonzo Washington successfully defended an Emergency Room physician in the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, West Virginia. The plaintiff alleged that our client failed to suspect and/or diagnose a foot infection in a 32-year-old diabetic male patient which resulted in a leg amputation. On October 12, 2017, after a two-week trial, the jury deliberated for less than two hours before returning a verdict finding that our client met the standard of care. The jury trial was held before Judge McLaughlin. Jefferson County Civil Action # 15-C-117.
