Overview

Before entering the legal profession, Aaron Graves served as a law enforcement officer, where he worked closely with attorneys and developed a deep respect for the justice system. His extensive experience conducting complex criminal investigations and collaborating with prosecutors and community stakeholders inspired him to pursue a career in law, where he now brings a distinctive, investigative approach to his practice.

Aaron’s background has honed his attention to detail and his ability to analyze and present facts with precision. These skills translate seamlessly into his legal work, allowing him to anticipate issues, build strong cases, and provide clients with practical, strategic advice grounded in real-world experience.

Aaron joined Flaherty’s Morgantown office in 2025 after serving as a Summer Associate in our offices for two consecutive summers. His practice focuses on Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, Corporate and Transactional matters, Insurance Coverage & Defense, and Transportation. Across these areas, Aaron leverages his investigative mindset and problem-solving skills to help clients navigate complex legal and business challenges efficiently and effectively.

Outside the office, Aaron is an audio engineering enthusiast who designs and builds custom loudspeakers, works on amplifiers and electronics, and is an active member of the Audio Engineering Society. He is also deeply involved in veterans’ causes, serving as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and volunteering with the Veterans Advocacy Clinic at West Virginia University College of Law, where he helps veterans navigate the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs benefits system.
