Erica Baumgras will be co-presenting “Insurance Coverage in the #metoo Age” at the Spring 2019 USLAW NETWORK Client Conference. This premier legal conference brings together legal decision-makers and USLAW NETWORK member attorneys for topnotch education in the areas of Construction Law, Insurance Law, Retail and Hospitality Law, Transportation and Logistics, and Data Privacy and Security.  Each track delivers up-to-date information and analysis of some of the industry’s hottest topics.

This session features a discussion of insurance coverage litigation involving #metoo claims. Topics include the declaratory judgment action pending against Harvey Weinstein, how insurance coverage disputes affect the defense and resolution of claims, best practices for corporations facing such claims, and the impact on the insurance industry. Erica will focus on professional liability insurance (legal and medical) and commercial general liability insurance coverage and some of the issues arising out of those policies.

Erica has more than 20 years of experience offering coverage opinions, filing and defending declaratory judgment actions, litigating bad faith claims, providing general counsel to insurance companies and agencies, and defending agents in errors and omissions claims, as well as representing insured defendants in professional liability, personal injury and property damage cases.
