Duane J. Ruggier III is an attorney in our Morgantown office whose practice focuses on trucking litigation, construction disputes, personal injury, civil rights claims, and medical malpractice defense. He represents clients in a range of complex matters in both state and federal courts, approaching each case with a practical, detail-oriented strategy tailored to the client’s goals.

Duane is known for his thoughtful preparation and commitment to delivering clear, effective advocacy. He works closely with clients to understand the full scope of their legal challenges and develops strategies to efficiently resolve disputes through motion practice, negotiation, mediation, or trial. His approach emphasizes communication, responsiveness, and the protection of client interests at every stage of litigation.

An active member of the legal community, Duane serves as Vice President of the Monongalia County Bar Association and is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.

Outside of his practice, Duane enjoys working out, skiing, reading, and following his favorite sports teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Marshall Thundering Herd.
